Is She Wrong? B. Simone Says She Doesn’t Want a Man That Works A 9 to 5
Things got a little heated on my facebook page yesterday when I asked my Nosey Neighbors if they thought B. Simone was right or wrong for her comments about what she looks for in a man. If you don’t know, here’s the backstory.
Nick Cannon asked B. Simone what kind of man is she looking for. The comedian and business woman said that she wouldn’t date a man with a 9-5. “He can be a hustling entrepreneur. He can’t be like clocking in and clocking out. I think entrepreneurs should date entrepreneurs…you’re not going to understand my lifestyle. You’re not going to understand why I’m up at 3 am. He has to be an entrepreneur…or moving into that direction.”
Here are a couple responses from my Facebook page:
“Her rationale makes perfect sense….even if not liked. Someone who lives a entrepreneur’s life typically gets the concept of crazy sacrifice to reach their personal goals….if you work for someone directly (company, etc) you are making their dreams a reality. The amount of investment is quite different therefore so is the sacrifice. I think a 9-5 person can get it and date/support a dreamer as we usually call them…..but that’s not for everyone.”
“I’m going to agree to disagree! We can’t say all men won’t understand. If that man is for you he’s going to go out his way to make sure he can cater to you and understand your day to day”
“Wasn’t she just clocking in a year or two ago?”
“I dont agree. Everyone pushing people to be entrepreneurs..that is not for everyone. I believe opposites attract so in my opinion she could be blocking her own king because shes convinced her man will be an entrepreneur.”
“Her delivery was off but I understand what she is saying! Also keep in mind she is 29. I felt at that age finances were everything. Now that Ive grown mentally finances are 1 aspect of life!”
