High School Basketball Superstar Mikey Williams is Headed To Charlotte
Get ready basketball fans…Mikey Williams is headed to Charlotte. The top ranked high school basketball player is transferring from San Ysidro High School in San Diego, CA to Lake Norman Cristian School right here in The Queen City. Check a few of the 6-foot-2, 180-pound point guard accomplishments.
Last December, Williams scored 77 points in a game as a high school freshman. He dropped 35 points or more 12 times, 11 double-doubles, and 2 triple-doubles last season. In 7th & 8th grade, he was named the #1 player in the nation in his age group by the Naismith National Youth All-American Report. MaxPreps named him “National Freshman of the Year”. He also played on the same AAU team as Bronny, LeBron James’ son.
Mikey made headlines in July when he dropped his Top 10 school list which included 5 HBCUs; Alabama State, Texas Southern, North Carolina Central, Hampton University, and Tennessee State. Mikey will graduate in 2023.
