Brandy Joins Cast of ABC Drama “Queens”
Eve, Naturi Naughton, and now we can add Brandy Norwood to the cast of the ABC drama pilot “Queens”. Brandy will play Naomi, better known as “Xplicit Lyrics”.
Naomi is known as the highly skilled musical engine behind the “Nasty B!tches”. However, her talent didn’t take her anywhere after the group’s demise. When the group gets back together, Naomi is reunited with the only man she ever loved, and the rival bandmate who stole that man from her. In addition to starring in the drama, Brandy will also give fans original music for the show.
“Queens” is about four estranged and out-of-touch women in their 40s who reunite for a chance to recapture their fame and regain the swagger they had as the “Nasty Bitches”, their ’90s group that made them legends in the hip-hop world.
