Wrestlemania night 1 recap
It had been exactly 1 year 1 month and 1 day since fans had been allowed to watch the WWE live but they were allowed to come witness WrestleMania live and it did not disappoint. They started the night off with the WWE championship match Lashley vs Drew McIntyre, this match had a lot of emotion because it was the first time 2 wrestlers have been in the ring in front of a live audience in a very long time. From the opening bell the 2 competitions were hell bent on showing the strength each one possessed in the end Lashley won to retain his WWE championship.
Cesaro def Seth Rollins
AJ Styles and Omos def The New Day to become the new tag team champions on Monday night Raw, this was Omos’ first time performing inside of a WWE ring and he was very very dominant the way he man handled the new day.
Braun Strohmann def Shane Mcmahon
My surprise of the night was watching Bad Bunny perform as if he had been a WWE superstar for his entire career. You would not have known that it was his first time ever wrestling just by watching that match. He actually did better than some of the real wrestlers on the roster and that’s saying a lot. Bad bunny right have had the best performance of the night of any superstar.
The moment I was waiting for all night was Bianca Belair vs Sasha Banks for the Women’s smackdown championship. This match from the very beginning had emotion written all over it. When the bell rang to start the match you could tell that these women knew they were making history as it was the 1st time 2 black women headlined a WrestleMania. This was by far the match of the night with all of the moves that the women displayed throughout the match. Bianca showed why she is the EST of WWE physically dominating Sasha Banks in order to become the new Women’s champion.
