Kyrie Irving put on an Offensive Masterclass in route of Hornets
Our Charlotte Hornets currently sit in 9th place in the eastern conference playoff standings which means they would be able to play in the play in tournament before the actual playoffs started, but the way they have been playing lately if they keep playing that way they won’t even be in the play in games.
The Brooklyn Nets came to town and I don’t know who made Kyrie upset but he took it out on us. The Nets beat the Hornets 132-121 behind Kyrie’s 50 point masterclass of offense that he displayed. The nets PG was 15-19 from the floor and 9-12 from 3 point range which was the 2nd lowest fg attempts in a 50 point game by a player in NBA history. The hornets have the most games this season scoring at least 120 points but that wasn’t enough to stop the Nets.
Offense wasn’t the problem, Miles and Terry both had 30 points and LaMelo had 24 but it was like every time the hornets made a run Kyrie came back and put a stop to all of that. You won’t win games win the opposing team scores 100 through 3 quarters. The final was not an indication of how the game actually went. At one point the Nets had a 30 point lead and the game definitely felt like it was out of reach. The Hornets take on the red hot Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics tonight at the hive, hopefully they can get back on the right track.
