Chlöe Reveals She Wrote ‘For the Night’ About Gunna
Chlöe and Gunna have been fueling romance rumors this year even though they’ve said that they are “just friends.” As the “Have Mercy” singer prepares for the release of her next single, “For The Night,” the 24-year-old created a Twitter Spaces session where she discussed the concept.
“Imma tell y’all a little secret about ‘For The Night,'” she said, per HotNewHipHop.”I might regret saying this, but hey, maybe it’ll help f—ing streams. I don’t even think he knows this! I wrote ‘For The Night’ about Gunna.”
“Yep, I said it bitches. I said it. So, you know.” the R&B vocalist recalled.
She continued: “I’m a songwriter. I write my own s—, I get inspired by the smallest things, so, kiss my a– (laughs). Talkin’ bout why don’t I say free this, or free that? Kiss my a–, I support in real life. Thank you!”
“But I’m single,” she clarified. “I’m single, guys. Sorry to bust bubbles, but when I wrote that song months ago, I wrote it about him.”
Although Chlöe says she doesn’t currently have a boo, the song should answer some lingering questions fans have about her and Gunna.
“Y’all talk about I need to spill the tea?” she asked. “I spilled the motherf—ing tea! So y’all can’t say I don’t spill tea no f—ing more.”
Previously, the R&B singer was vibing to her and Gunna’s collab “You & Me” when spoke about the “romance” in her life after calling the rapper “a good friend.”
“I feel like everybody wants to know about my love life. My love life is music, darling,” she said in a British accent, per TheShadeRoom.
