What movie took the #1 spot at the box office over the weekend. You might be surprised. Horror movie "Insidious: The Red Door" was the surprise winner at the box office over the weekend. The movie dethroned "Indiana Jones" for the #1 spot with $32.6 million in its opening weekend - all the more impressive considering the movie cost just $16 million to make. "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny" finished second with $26.5 million in its second week. "Sound of Freedom" ($17 million), "Elemental" ($9.6 million), and "Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse" ($8 million) rounded out the top five. What movie did you see this weekend.
