Some Social Media Platforms Are Down And Users Are Not Happy
UPDATE: We’ve got our socials back working again!
There are a lot of users that have attempted to use various social platforms and they are down. The sad part is no one can say how truly unhappy they are because platforms are down.
Talking about a catch-22, this is more like social media mayhem for those that rely heavily on certain social apps. For some, social media helps their workday flow. For some, social media is what their job relies on and for some, it’s a core area of operation for their business. I do believe some social apps being American-based could have a portion to do with it because currently both Instagram and Facebook are down. TikTok is not. We also have to look at the fact that both Facebook and TikTok are owned by Meta. This means it could be a Meta issue. As a content creator myself, this could be detrimental to some.
Recently we saw an issue with some mobile customers. Well, a lot of mobile customers. They were unable to use their phones and it was complete mayhem. It was mayhem because of the amount of users at one time that were affected. Honestly, I could see that as being some kind of test for an all-out cyber war that could be planned by who knows. If you think about it, the two could correlate. If you shut down cell services, users would then move to wifi and straight to social media to determine if others are affected. Then you get to social media to find out it doesn’t work either. Then next thing you know debit and credit cards will be obsolete and not be able to be used. It’s almost like cutting an entire country off from the world. It may be a conspiracy theory to some, but to some it makes perfect sense.
Either way, Facebook and Instagram are social platforms that are down for what will most likely be a short time. Do you feel affected? Could you do without social media? For me, as long as I have Tik Tok, I’m good. LOL
