Attend the Living Archives Project Celebration
The Charlotte Mecklenburg Library invites us to their Living Archives Project celebration event on May 16 from 6 pm to 9 pm at Discovery Place! Discovery Place Science Museum is an innovative, hands-on Museum in Uptown Charlotte that encourages scientific exploration and creativity. During the Living Archives Project, you’ll learn about stories during the COVID-19 pandemic and how it impacted our Black, Hispanic, Asian, and Indigenous communities in Mecklenburg County. The free celebration event features a traveling exhibit highlighting residents’ COVID stories.
Living Archives Project event will feature guest speakers, artistic performances, and more. Each story that you’ll hear is vital and deserving of preservation. The Living Archives Project has been with us for the last three years capturing this historical moment through the eyes of locals in the Carolinas.
