It’s National Voter Registration Day! Here’s What You Need to Know North Carolina
Today is National Voter Registration Day! We are just 48 days away from Election Day. Are you registered to vote? If you aren’t, what are you waiting for? Today is the perfect day to get registered and to check your status if you are registered. I have all the important information to help you with the process.
In North Carolina, you can register to vote a couple different ways including by mail, online, or in person. The deadline to register to vote by mail or online is Friday, October 11th. You can also register in person during the early voting period which is October 17th – November 2nd. Click HERE to register to vote or get more information.
If you are already registered to vote, don’t forget to check your status. Especially if you have moved, changed your name, or your marital status has changed. The process is super easy, you don’t need any documents, and it takes less than 5 mins. Click HERE to check your voter status.
Here are a couple additional reminders. You will need a photo ID to vote in North Carolina. Don’t have an ID? Don’t worry! Click HERE to get all the details about acceptable forms of identification or how to get an ID Exemption form. And don’t forget, the deadline to request an absentee ballot is October 29th.
