HUHS Will Get Their Championship Rings Thanks A Special Panther
Yesterday, I got some very disturbing news.
After winning the 2017 State Football Championship, Harding University High School could not afford to purchase championship rings for the team. After fighting on the field, in the classroom, and the in the community, our champs might not get the rings they deserve. We had to do something!
Harding’s football team was already scheduled to be on The Morning Maddhouse this morning so I knew it would be the perfect time to discuss this situation. We asked Maddhouse Nation for help and they responded. The calls and text messages immediately started pouring in as the HUHS Head Coach, Sam Greiner, talked about the family that is the Harding University Football Team and why this championship was so important. (HUHS hasn’t won a football championship in over 60 years)
Then IT happened. Larry received a text message saying “I will cover the rest of the money for the rings”. #58 of our Carolina Panthers, Thomas Davis, was answering our call. I wish you could have seen the smiles on the players faces. I keep replaying it in my mind. It was AMAZING!
