2021 COVID-19 Deaths Surpass 2020
More people have died this year from COVID-19 in the U.S. than in 2020.
The number was reached yesterday when American deaths since the start of the pandemic reached 704-thousand. Half that number died in 2020.
The good news? Deaths and hospitalizations are trending downward, but the Delta variant is still spreading as some 70-million eligible people haven’t gotten vaccinated. Experts say the virus will continue to adapt and infect those most vulnerable.
