What is the #1 Easter Candy in North Carolina?

Easter candy season is in full swing – but which springtime treat is your state’s favorite?  DoorDash has released a chart mapping out each state’s most preferred Easter candy.

Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs dominate the list – coming in #1 in a whopping 34 states including North Carolina and South Carolina.  Cadbury Creme Eggs were in second, preferred in 13 states.  The oddballs?  New Hampshire prefers Starburst Jelly Beans, while Pennsylvania and South Dakota tend towards buying variety packs.  Overall, Americans will spend over $3.1 billion on Easter candy in 2024.

Fun Fact…Some may think Halloween is the favorite holiday for candy lovers but that isn’t the case.  According to DoorDash, 31% of Americans say Easter is their favorite holiday candy, followed by Halloween candy (29%) and Christmas candy (24%).
