Panthers owner David Tepper wants a MLS expansion team sooner rather later. His only concern is that if he city doesn’t land an expansion team then this could be the only chance for them to do so. MLS commissioner Don Garber said that Charlotte and Tepper are at the front of the line to land an expansion team. It’s reported that a deal to get a team depends on city government kicking in $100 million for improvements at Bank of America stadium, it would need new locker rooms and soccer specific field entries and other upgrades.
Do you think they should create a new stadium if they were to get a new soccer team or just play at BofA stadium?
