Motown is making history!
We all know the famous Hitsville USA also known as Motown Records. And we are also familiar with 70’s The Jackson 5 cartoon.
Well, Motown has dug up all the classic hits to bring back the Motown music in an educational Netflix cartoon.
“Motown Magic”, is about an imaginative boy, Ben, transforming his city by bringing colorful street art to life, armed with a magic paintbrush and the classic sounds of Motown. The program features versions of songs by the popular record label, performed by contemporary recording artists and interwoven into the narrative.
8-year-old Ben and his friends solve the problem to make the streets a better and safe place. Smokey Robinson and creator Josh Wakely at Capitol Records worked on the music for ‘Motown Magic.
Motown hits that are recorded in the series are from such performers as The Jackson 5, Michael Jackson, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, The Supremes, and Smokey Robinson.
