Studies show cases of Covid 19 are rising in Mecklenburg County, while only 50% of people in the county are vaccinated, 62% of the new positive tests are the Delta variant of Covid.  That number was tweeted out by StarMed health care.  They are urging people to get vaccinated to protect them against spreading covid 19 and the delta variant.

Because businesses, mainly bars and nightclubs, have opened back up people seem to have forgotten that we are still in the midst of a pandemic.  It isn’t going away and it won’t go away unless people take the necessary steps to protect themselves which is getting vaccinated.  I understand why some people of color may not trust what they are saying about the vaccine because of the history we have had with Doctors and medicine but coming from someone who’s been vaccinated, these times aren’t those.  We have the best medicine and doctors in the WORLD now and I trust that they will take care of the people who come in to the hospitals but we also have to take care of ourselves also.
