Charlotte Man Indicted For Secretly Recording Boys In Bathroom Dies
A Charlotte man recently indicted on charges he secretly recorded boys in a public bathroom has died.
WSOC-TV reports John Hastings Cutter IV facing more than a dozen felony peeping Tom charges. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department says the 61-year-old man would use a camera similar to the size of a key fob to record boys and men in the bathroom at the Bojangles Coliseum.
According to the television news report, investigators learned about one such incident that occurred during a Charlotte Checker game. A man, his 11-year-old son, and that child’s 12-year-old friend were attending the game and went to use the bathroom. While the father and his son waited for the 12-year-old to leave the stall, they saw a hand with a camera go under the boy’s stall.
Police believe the man with the camera was Cutter.
Court documents say the father ended up confronting Cutter as he left the nearby stall, but Cutter denied any wrongdoing and walked away.
Days after Cutter was released from jail on bond, CMPD told Channel 9 that Cutter died by suicide. His body was found at his home. No other information has been released. We will continue to watch this story and post any updates as they come along. Do you remember this case?

But a father spotted him doing it, per court docs. And confronted him. He was arrested and videos were found.
