Odds to Outcomes: Burpie’s Bets for NBA Finals
The NBA Eastern Conference finals are starting tonight as the Indiana Pacers take on the Boston Celtics in Boston at 8 pm on ESPN. The Pacers are coming off of a tough seven-game series against the New York Knicks. The Pacers lead the NBA in scoring during the regular season with 123.3 points per game while Boston averaged 120.6 but game 1 is in Boston and Boston had the best home record in the league this season. Boston is the favorite to win this game by -10.5.
I’m taking the spread on this game because Boston had an NBA record of 17 wins by 25 points or more during the 2023-2024 regular season and Indiana tends to let teams score a lot of points when they are the visiting team. If you don’t want to take the spread then take the over on points. The over/under for this game is 221.5 and these teams each averaged over 120 points per game during the regular season. Boston is well rested and they will put up plenty of points in this game one.
If you like to place in-game or side bets then the over/under on Jayson Tatum’s points for this game is 29.5, I’d take the under on this one because during these playoffs he’s only averaging 24.3 points per game and it’s been streaky. Jaylen Brown’s over/under is set at 25.5 I’d also take the under here because his average is 23.1 during the playoffs.
