One thing about Lil Boosie, he will not bite his tongue. He recently took his daughter to see the movie and revealed that he walked out. He also shared he won't allow his children to watch it.

First, I will have to say, Boosie must not have watched the original "Color Purple". He obviously didn't read the book either. I have heard of a few people saying they didn't know Ciely and Suge Avery's characters were lovers. In the book, that was a bit more obvious from my research. If you also didn't know, the movie was filmed in North Carolina right outside of Charlotte in Anson County. Either way, the movie is a very classic movie.

The new movie is also an adaptation of a Broadway musical. That means there are a lot of music. The music wasn't what bothered Boosie. It was a narrative he felt that was being pushed so he walked out.

I'll be honest. You have to research movies before you go see them to know at least what it's about. It's possible with some movies there maybe things you may not know about, but researching is good. Checkout the trailer for the movie below.

Taraji plays the role of Suge Avery. With this remake being an adaptation of a musical, I am excited about the vocals and the dancing in the movie. Taraji shared a clip to her socials recorded from her home rehearsal and the amount of work to prep for this role was amazing. I can't wait to see it.
