Please get your tissues ready. A few college students in Rhode Island heard about their security guard wanting to take a trip home to Nigeria but couldn't afford it.

I always say that our children are our future. Being the next generation, it's super important to show them what kind and having a good heart really is. I came across a video of some students at Providence College which is a university in Rhode Island. There was a security guard who works at the school that is from Nigeria. I can imagine being that far from home, visiting family may not be that easy. International flights especially. A lot of us get to see our family often and have the ability to maybe even drive to see family a few times a year if they aren't super close. If you couple that with just the cost of living, it makes it even more extremely difficult.

The students at this school saw the need and decided to start a GoFundMe to send the man on a trip home to see his family. I was so moved by the love and want in their hearts to do something like this. Take a look at all of these good Samaritans at this college.

Here’s The North Carolina Universities With The Cheapest Tuition

If you're looking to get a fantastic education there is no need to look outside the state of North Carolina. College can be expensive and staying in state can save you significant money by choosing a public university. Luckily, North Carolina has 16 incredible public universities. And even compared to in-state tuition in other states such as South Carolina, they are relatively affordable. But which North Carolina universities have the cheapest tuition?

This data comes to us from US News and World Report, which released its 2024 Best Colleges Rankings this week. These reports and lists cover a variety of factors from best overall, regional, liberal arts, and best value schools. To create this list of the North Carolina universities with the cheapest tuition I filtered by North Carolina and then sorted the results by cost. This gave me a combination of the public and private universities and cost was filtered by out-of-state. But for your info, I ranked each school by the reported (by US News) tuition cost for in-state students at each of the public universities in NC.

There are 16 public universities in the state. Each of these are incredible unique universities with lots to offer potential students. You'll find a profile of each of them below with the tuition as reported by US News in order of least expensive to most expensive. Though even the most expensive is less than $10,000. These costs are just tuition and do not include the cost of room and board, food, and other fees. So you'll have to factor in them. But it's great to know our state has so many wonderful higher education institutions.
