Air Tag Gets Airline Employee Caught For Stealing From Luggage
Imagine an airline employee stealing something out of someone’s luggage and getting caught by the gps on the owner’s airbag.
That is exactly what happened with an American Airline’s employee and a filmmaker. Errol Webber is a filmmaker and was recently traveling. At the end of his trip, he finds out that his luggage has been rummaged through and there was indeed some film equipment stolen. What the airline employee didn’t realize was an air tag was in the bag. It was hidden. If you don’t know what an air tag is, it’s basically a tracker. Well, he air tag was enabled and it caused the employee to be caught.
I am curious as to how American Air will handle this issue. People all over the world have had their luggage either rummaged through our out right stolen. Apple Airtags were game changer when they came out. If you’re always losing something or want to be able to track something, this is a great way. It could be a bad thing too for some.
