FREE festivals, workshops, and nature hikes? I think so!

  • Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation maintains has three nature centers, Reedy Creek, Latta Plantation and McDowell. These centers sometimes host festivals, workshops, nature hikes, campfire and more events, many of these are free.

Full season of concerts for FREE!

  • Belmont Abbey College offers a full season of concerts at the beautiful Abbey Basilica, 100 Belmont-Mt. Holly Rd. Belmont.All of the concerts are free, donations are also accepted. The college is off exit 26 from I-85, and very close to Charlotte in nearby Gaston County.

Jazz Mondays!

  • Crown Station Coffee House and Pub is at 3629 North Davidson Street, they have coffee in the morning as well as beer and wine in the evening, they also have “coffee with a kick.” Drink coffee while listening to free music and comedy shows! Membership is $1/ year! They also have outdoor seating.
